The Blood of Jesus - The Power
 Previously posted...

For many years we have sung the song, "There is Power in the Blood", we have been taught that Jesus shed His blood for us, we plead the Blood of Jesus over our families and ourselves, and we shout there is Power in the Blood of Jesus, but do we really understand the Power contained in the Blood of Jesus?

I want to share what Holy Spirit has taught me about the Power of the Blood of Jesus, especially right now as Passover and Resurrection Day is coming soon.  I am not saying that this teaching is complete, as we will learn and God will continue to unfold His Word to us all the days of our lives, but I am so excited about what Holy Spirit has taught me thus far and I want to share it with those, who like me, may have struggled with the understanding of the Power of the Blood of Jesus.

I have used the Passion Translation Bible in this teaching as it is taken from the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic languages.  So unless otherwise stated, scripture in this teaching will be from the Passion Bible.  The Passion Translation Bible brings the Word of God alive to the reader.  Indeed, in Hebrews 4:12, the Word of God teaches us, "For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword"; [God speaks His Word, then we, in agreement, also speak His Word and it becomes a "two-mouthed sword".]  It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet!  It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.  Praise the Lord!

A lot of us have been taught from the King James Version Bible.  Below, I am providing you with two translations of the same scripture:

We have been taught, (KJV) Rev. 12-11  "And they overcame him (satan) by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death".

(TPT) Revelation 12-11  "They conquered him (satan) completely through the Blood of the Lamb and the powerful word of His (bold put in by me) testimony.  They triumphed because they did not cling to their own lives, even when faced with death".

Hallelujah!  satan and his kingdom (the enemy) was and is conquered completely by the Blood of the Lamb and by the powerful word of His testimony not our testimony!   Jesus gave us His complete victory over satan and his kingdom, through His blood and the word of His testimony. We have the victory through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ over the enemy.  For the first time, this scripture fully resonates in my spirit because we are imperfect but Jesus is not!  His testimony is rock solid and will never change!

So what is the Power in the Blood of Jesus?

In every living thing that has a heart, the blood is what gives life.   Let's consider our bodies.  You can have a complete body, with everything intact, but if there is no blood flowing through the body, there is no life. The flesh is dead. The life is in the blood and the blood is what gives the flesh life.

Prior to the birth and death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, when God demanded that the people's sins be atoned for, the Priests had to kill an unblemished lamb, allowing all of the blood, the life force, to be poured out to make atonement for the sins of the people.  The actual blood of the animal wasn't powerful within itself, it was God's accepting of it that gave it that power.  Thus, the animal became a substitute, dying in the place of man.  But God was not pleased with this type of sacrifice or of burnt offerings to atone for man's sin.  This type of sacrifice had to be offered over and over again.  The blood of animals that were sacrificed did not have the power to cancel out the first covenant and that's what was needed to put the second covenant into effect.  There was only one sacrifice that had the power to make null and void the first covenant and put into full effect the 2nd covenant...

The only blood sacrifice that could once and for all atone for the sins of man, and reconcile them back to the Father, and thus satisfy the heart of God, would have to be God Himself; the Word agreed to the Father's will and the Word of God who was God became flesh and dwelt among men and sacrificed Himself, took all of the sins of mankind from the past, the present and all future sins, and placed them on Himself, (He became sin), Jesus, the King of Glory, and He was beaten until he was unrecognizable, bruised, spat on, thorns shoved down into His head, back flesh ripped off of Him until His internal organs could be seen, he was mocked and ridiculed, and then he was made to carry the cross that He would be nailed to and crucified on, being beaten with whips along the way, while carrying the cross.  Then at Golgotha, Jesus, the King of Glory was nailed to the cross and His life force, His Blood was poured out, and seeped into the ground and God the Father accepted the sacrifice of His Beloved Son Jesus, to atone for all our sins, past, present, and future.  God the Father decreed for as many who would, (by an act of our free will), believe in His Son, Jesus the Christ, and accept and receive the sacrifice He paid for us, so that our sins, if we confess them, and we ask for His forgiveness, and we give our lives over to the Lord Jesus and follow in His way, we would be forgiven and we would be reconciled to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and we would never again be separated from them.

The Blood of Jesus was poured out as a sacrifice unto God and His Blood seeped into the ground, and because of His obedience unto the Father, His Blood purified and broke the curse that God placed on the ground due to Adam's disobedience when he listened to the voice of his wife, Eve, and ate from the tree which God commanded them not to eat.

Jesus' Blood reconciled everything to Himself.  Jesus made peace with everything in Heaven and on the earth by means of His Blood being poured out as He was crucified on the cross. Jesus' Blood was undefiled; His Blood was pure and did not contain a trace of death's contamination.  Jesus' Blood contained all healing and purification properties.  God paid our ransom with the life-Blood of Jesus His Son, to rescue and save us from the empty, sinful life we inherited from our ancestors.  The Blood of Jesus contains the power to purge the evil and the death, that flows through our own veins.  The power in the Blood of Jesus was and is the boundless power of our Creator God!

When we accept Jesus Christ into our life, believing that He is God, that He was made flesh, that He was born of a virgin, and that He took all of the sins of the world, past, present and future upon Himself, and that He was crucified on the cross because of our sins, and that He poured out His Blood for us, and that He died a sinner's death (He took our place on the cross) and that He was resurrected to Life, then God the Father imparts Jesus' life-giving Blood into our veins.  Our faith allows us to believe and to receive a supernatural "Blood transfusion" from Jesus that carries eternal life.  This eternal life, now in our own blood, forever expels the contamination of Adam's sin that once polluted our blood stream.

(NIV) Exodus 12:23 & 24.
Jesus was sacrificed at the time of the Feast of Passover, so the Jewish people would remember that God protected the children of Israel from the destroyer. The Lord told each Israelite family to sacrifice a perfect, unblemished male lamb and paint the blood of the lamb on the doorframe of their house anwhen the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, He will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and He will not permit the destroyer to enter their houses and strike them down.  Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants.

They obeyed God and they were saved.

We plead the Blood of Jesus to God on behalf of ourselves, our children, and our loved ones, for His protection.

The Blood of Jesus that was shed for us grants us access to enter the shelter of God's presence.  The Blood of Jesus, His ALL POWERFUL Blood, courses through our veins.  We receive it straight from God's throne room and it brings forth transformation, cleansing, deliverance, healing, breakthrough and greatest of all, SALVATION.

All Praise, all Glory, and all Honor
Belong to the Lamb of God,
Jesus, the King of Glory! He is Risen, Alive for Evermore!
Hallelujah!

Much Love Always,
Pastor Tina
